To enter, leave a comment – any comment, on THIS POST. That’s it!

The Rules: One entry per person, US residents only. Commenting will open Tuesday, October 16 at 5:00 am EST and close on Friday, October 19 at 10:00 pm EST. Entries that do not follow the entry requirements will not be considered. Five winners will be selected at random and contacted via email later next week. Good luck!

Annie, for the past year your blog has inspired me in so many ways. I discovered your blog when I was searching for Christmas cookies ( more precisely, butter cookies). Anyhow, I have since made several of your recipes and I have loved each and everyone of them. I appreciate your details and specifications. I have been saying to everyone i recommend your blog to that your thoroughness is similar to Ina garten’s. As for the wonderful Alex and Sonja, I discovered them through your blog and have been very interested in following their humanitarian adventures. I am the daughter of a diplomat and have traveled and lived in many countries where the most basic necessecities were impossible to find. So, I find it absolutely incredible and commendable when young people of our generation are involved in such endeavors. If you haven’t seen the PBS documentary “Half the Sky” you should. It focuses on a lot of the same issues of human trafficking and poverty and is very well done. Gives a lot of awareness and options to get involved.

I, too, have made efforts to assist the Cambodian people. Pol Pot and his regime killed anyone with an education, anyone who wore glasses, anyone viewed as a threat to him. These poor people have resorted to some of the lowest form of humanity – selling off daughters, putting them in brothels, etc. I was in Cambodia in the late 90′s and learned so much.
On a lighter note, I love, love, love Cambodian food as well as other cuisines of Asian countries.
I hope this book is just the beginning of a movement to make these crimes known and a way to assist in “righting” this wrong!!
