earth day 2014: moody’s meats


Our family has been frequenting Moody’s Meats for the past several years, and we absolutely love their offerings.  The quality of the products and the service can’t be beat.  We also truly appreciate the Moodys’ commitment to sustainable farming practices.  I would love for you to experience what we have come to love so much, so I’m giving away two $25 gift certificates to Moody’s Butcher Shop (locations in Avon, Zionsville, and Ladoga).

    We probably already eat at least 75% locally sourced meat, but it doing so I’ve really reduced the amount of chicken I eat because it’s so expensive to buy local chicken. I would definitely go for some chicken breasts with the gift certificate. It’s that time a year when I love to grill a few and then have it leftover for salads, wraps, pitas, etc.

    Freezer beef! Our family is rapidly expanding (we had twin boys back in August and have a 5 year old daughter). I know I will definitely need a deep freeze in the coming years to feed hungry boys!

    We love Moody’s ever since Adam was at a cooking class I took at Chef JJ’s Backyard a few years back! We love the fresh eggs as well as their beef and pork. I’d love to try the Wagyu beef though!

    We have cut back substantially on red meat consumption at our house over the past 2 years, but I do still love Moody’s bacon and their chicken breasts. I love their steaks too as a special treat.
