5 Years of Annie’s Eats – Wish List Cookbooks

I really, really love cookbooks.  A good cookbook is truly a work of art in so many ways – the layout, the photographs, and of course, the recipes within.  I have a surprisingly small collection of cookbooks because I make sure a book is really worth it before taking the plunge.  As a treat to myself for five years of blogging, I decided to purchase three cookbooks off of my ever-growing wish list.  And while I was at it, I decided to gift some to you as well!  I’m giving away one copy of each of the cookbooks seen above (so three winners total) – The Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook, Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones, and Super Natural Every Day.

To enter, leave a comment on THIS POST and tell me which book you would prefer if you win.

The Rules: One entry per person, U.S. residents only.  Commenting will open Tuesday, May 8 at 4:45 am EST and close on Thursday, May 10 at 10:00 pm EST.  Entries that do not follow the entry requirements will not be considered.  Three winners (one cookbook each) will be selected at random and contacted via email later this week.  Good luck!

    Wow! Can honestly say I would love any of them. Born & raised in Alabama I have explored the Lee Bros book before for its nod to southern cuisine (asked for it for Xmas along with some others…got the others). You gave me the courage to go beyond our family’s homemade vanilla ice cream recipe & I made several thing from DL’s Perfect Scoop last summer (the caramel sauce was my favorite)…making ice cream has become one of my 5 & 3 year olds favorite past times…thx! And you’ve inspired me to DIY as much as I can in the kitchen for the good of my family, the earth, & my own growth as a home cook. Thanks for sharing these books and your talents!

    I just purchased an ice cream maker last week so the Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones jumped out at me as my first choice. I do own the Perfect Scoop but for having the ice cream maker less than a week I have already made 7 batches of ice cream! At that rate I am going to run out of recipes to try before the summer is over:) My daughters and their boyfriends are absolutely loving homemade ice cream. My eldest took one bite and says she is never eating store bought ice cream again!

    Like many young brides, there was just one frivolous item in the store that I just had to register for and dream of getting. Sure, I didn’t need it, but I just had to have it! This item was an ice-cream maker. I had to battle to keep it on my registry, and it was worth the fight! My ice cream maker happened to be the very first gift that I opened at my very first shower.

    Since then, I have had the thrill of experimenting with different ice cream, frozen yogurt, and even frozen custard recipes. I just can’t get enough! Iwould absolutely devour a whole cookbook filled with ice cream recipes and tips– Sweet Cream & Sugar Cones :) Yummy

    I haven’t seen any of these cookbooks before – I’ve been slightly out of the loop taking a college-level photography class (you are one of the inspirations for that). Congratulations on 5 years – I know parts of the past 5 years have been difficult – but I see that you have been blessed in so many ways – finishing school, your job, your 2 beautiful children, the success of your blog, the calendars etc… and all along a wonderful, loving supportive husband.     I would love Super Natural Every Day. I am continually striving to buy local, stay seasonal and cook simple wholesome meals. I feel like it shouldn’t be a struggle…it should be easy but it’s not without effort. We should all live on narrow streets with an outdoor market in our neighborhood where we buy our daily bread and other essentials to be used immediately. Well a girl can dream.
